SGS Implements the Gabonese Program of Conformity (PROGEC)
To ensure the quality of products as well as the health, safety and environmental protection of Gabonese consumers; protect the public against substandard products and to prevent the importation of unsafe products. Agence Gabonaise de Normalisation (AGANOR) has launched the Gabonese Program of Conformity (PROGEC) for all the regulated products imported into Gabon from Feb 20th, 2016.
After the grace period, it requires a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) issued by SGS for shipment arrived as from May 20th, 2016(date of arrival). The Certificate is document required for Customs Clearance in Gabon for regulated products.
