SGS Cooperated With Qsai in Food Testing Business to Help Chinese Food Access Japan Market
On Feb 26 2009, SGS-CSTC announced to cooperate with QSAI, a famous inspection organization in Japan. The cooperation will surely promote the image of China food in Japan and accelerate its access to the market. Vice President of SGS-CSTC, Mr. Richard SHENTU and Executive Director of QSAI, Mr. HARADA SHINGO signed the agreement. Japan is the third largest trade partner of China with up to 265 billion USD trade volume in 2008. However, many Chinese food manufacturers still found it difficult to enter Japan market due to the complex in quality legislation and gap of supervision & accreditation systems in two markets. Fortunately, SGS & QSAI’ cooperation enables exporters get testing services in China with the quality & technology standard equivalent to a lab accredited by Japan MHLW (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare）, but in a relatively economic cost scheme and faster testing turn-around time.
