SGS-CSTC launched seminars on US new compulsive regulation (CARB)
SGS-CSTC launched seminars to explain the new US law and regulation drafted by California Air Resource Board (CARB) around China mainland in Sep. This topic raised increasingly concerns from furniture manufacturers, exporters and fabricators in China.
The new compulsive regulations aimed at reduce the emission of compound wood in formaldehyde release in a time limit and will be applied for furniture import to California as the strict compound wood formaldehyde release standard. The phrase 1 will be effective on January 1, 2009.
SGS is authorized and licensed by CARB to provide professional third party testing service. SGS-CSTC Hardlines laboratory will schedule more seminars or courses to help exporters know more about this regulation and find the solutions.
