SGS Held the First Training of AATCC in 2008 in Hangzhou Successfully
For introducing the advanced experience and methods in the test standards of AATCC which is the world's largest textile chemical societies, and sharing the information with all domestic partners who are engaged in textile’s production and trade, quality testing and related scientific research, SGS held the training of AATCC’s test methods from 21st to 23rd April in 2008 in Hangzhou.
During the course, students not only found out the latest standards and testing methods from American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC), but also operated the testing methods of AATCC by themselves with the advanced laboratory equipment of SGS. It ensured the integration of theory and practice and made the participants understand how to use them. At the same time, the senior lecturer of SGS also shared the rich experience about textile testing and discussed a large number of difficult problems about the textile trade and related testing with students.
The 3-day training brought all participants abundant knowledge, easy-understood illustrations, active practices, and lively discussions. One student said that "Through learning, I fully understand the current international related quality of textile and the trends of safety laws and regulations and learn about the textile wet processing, dyeing and forefront knowledge of other subjects. And meanwhile, many problems baffled us have been resolved. In addition, many key buyers’ latest information is also of great value...". After tensional and effective training and assessment for three days, all trainees got the certificates awarded by AATCC successfully.
The next training will be held from July 21st to 23rd in SGS Hangzhou Branch.
