WISCO silicon steel obtain green pass
Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corp. (WISCO)’s non-oriented silicon steel have obtained the RoHS accreditation on March 27, indicating it turns to be the first domestic enterprise that has owned such a ‘green path’ for its productions.
The certification was awarded by Pauline Cheung, Restricted Substances Testing Service Department Director of SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services Co., Ltd (China), the professional organization that can offer accreditation services.
In order to obtain the certification, WISCO has developed the preparation of the accreditation for the non-oriented silicon steel since the end of 2006 by training staff in the key departments and improving substances controlling system, said Wang Ling, General Manager of WISCO said at the ceremony.
“We will carry on further environmental protections measures as well as communication and collaboration with our customers in this field,” Wang added.
Already being authorized by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), SGS-CSTC labs are able to provide eligible RoHS testing methods, which always pay close attention to environmental protection, sustainable development and commit itself to manage variety of environmental dictates with more professional, convenient and completed ‘one-stop’ services.
