Shunde Lab, another branch affiliated to SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services Co., Ltd., put into operation on March 26, 2008.
“China’s market has been long regarded very important among SGS global strategies,” said Steven Du, senior director of SGS-CSTC while addressing the launching ceremony, “It is marked a significant milestone in expanding south China market.”
“Besides, we sincerely acknowledge the long supports to the establishments of the lab given by Shunde District governmental officials,” said Steven.
Shunde district, one of Guangdong’s economic locomotives, has enjoyed obvious advantages in the sectors of home appliances, furniture, and machinery, contributing the soaring export shares. Under such circumstances, the founding of the lab coincides with the expanding demands for inspections, appraisal, testing, and authentication of the products in Guangdong.
SGS has committed itself to assist enterprises in answering for EU environmental detectives such as RoHS, WEEE, REACH, to some extent, which unfavourably influences on Chinese manufacture sectors.
The customer-oriented SGS thus would like to offer convenient and completed “one-stop services” for Guangdong’s enterprises in terms of demands for inspection, verification, testing, and certification, Steven expressed.
“As a localized professional service organization, SGS will make every effort to help as more outstanding Chinese enterprises as possible to build up their international credibility,” he added.
Newly-established Shunde Lab, located in Shunde Technological Industrial zone, covers 3500 sq and owns one Electrical & Electronics Laboratory and a Hardline Products Laboratory, which engaging in testing on environmental-friendly white home appliances and on packing materials respectively.
