Why SGS?
Most protective clothes are classified as Category II or Category III personal protective equipment (PPE) under EU Regulation 2016/425. This requires the submission of technical documentation and product samples to a Notified Body for EU-type examination/certification before the CE Mark can be used and the clothing offered onto the market.
Our facilities in Finland (Notified Body 0598) and the UK (Approved Body 0120) provide type-approval examination to PPE Regulation 2016/425. We offer a one-stop-shop solution and can conduct CE and UKCA certification simultaneously. We are also providing Category III PPE certification services through our global network of auditors.
