As certification standards for consumer products manufacturers, BRC Global Standards for Consumer Products (short for BRCGS CP) apply to almost all consumer goods manufacturing except food and drugs. BRCGS CP Issued 4 published in 2016 is divided into two separate standards (General Merchandise, Personal Care and Household) due to the diversity of products included within Consumer Products. It introduces an entry Foundation level and Higher level to encourage continuous improvement.
