We provide safety and quality assurance services for protective eyewear classified as either Category I or Category II PPE under Regulation (EU) 2016/425:
- Category I: includes eyewear for minimal risks, such as sunglasses, ski goggles and swimming goggles. These products can be self-certified by the manufacturer, but testing is recommended to ensure compliance with relevant safety standards
- Category II: covers protective eyewear designed to guard against impact, radiation and liquid splashes. These products require testing and certification by a Notified Body before CE marking and market placement
