As in-car technologies advance, EMC tests are vital to make sure vehicles and their component parts function reliably and do not affect each other.
EMC is tested in two ways: susceptibility and emissions. Susceptibility tests a device’s ability to function with the electrical and magnetic disturbances of its environment. Emissions checks if it will cause any disturbance to other devices nearby.
We are is equipped to carry out EMC measurements on traditional and high-voltage e-mobility components and systems. Using shielded rooms, anechoic chambers, GTEM/TEM cells, pulse generators, EM scan and CAN bus monitoring we test:
- ElectroMagnetic Interference (EMI):
- Conducted emission (CE)
- Conducted transient emission (CTE)
- Radiated emission (RE)
- Magnetic near field
- Magnetic and Electric field
- Isotropic magnetic field
- Harmonic Current Emissions Test
- Coupling between HV and LV systems
- Electromagnetic Susceptibility (EMS):
- Conducted transient immunity (CIS & CIP)
- Electrical transient conduction along shielded high-voltage supply lines Test(Pulse A &Pulse B)
- Electrical Fast Transient/burst (EFT)
- Surge
- DIPS
- Magnetic field immunity (MFI)
- Electrostatic discharge (ESD)
- Radiated immunity (RI)
- Portable transmitter (PT)
- Stripline
- Bulk current injection (BCI)
- Shielding Effectiveness:
- Surface transfer impedance
- Screening attenuation
- Dynamometer
- Dynamic motor testing
- Dual-axis powertrain EMC testing
- Electric motor control EMC testing
