ASUS, Acer and Fwusow Industry Lead the Way in IECQ ISO 14067 Verification

July 17, 2025

Amid the global drive toward net-zero emissions, three of Taiwan’s leading manufacturers – ASUS, Acer and Fwusow Industry – have become the first in the nation to achieve IECQ Carbon Footprint of Product (ISO 14067) verification. The certifications were conducted by our team in Taiwan and awarded during a ceremony attended by IECQ representatives, signaling the growing momentum for climate transparency and accountability in Asia’s industrial sector.

Setting a new benchmark for sustainability

ASUS Computer (ASUS)

ASUS has long embedded sustainability into its business model, using digital tools and scientific management to drive low-carbon product innovation. The company’s proprietary ASUS Carbon Data Management Platform enables real-time emissions tracking and supports its broader commitment to value chain decarbonization. With IECQ ISO 14067 verification now secured, ASUS continues to lead with data-driven strategies that support low-carbon design, responsible sourcing and circular business models.

Acer Corporation (Acer)

Acer’s sustainability journey is anchored in its "Earthion" platform, which promotes circular design, low-carbon materials and renewable energy across its operations and supply chain. Verified carbon footprint data now reinforces Acer’s green credentials, allowing it to demonstrate environmental accountability to stakeholders while advancing toward net-zero goals.

Fwusow Industry

Fwusow Industry, a century-old food and agriculture company, is the first in Taiwan’s food sector to receive IECQ ISO 14067 certification – covering its popular bonito flake product line. Driven by a “farm to table” philosophy, the company is integrating low-carbon practices across operations, from green procurement and energy efficiency to waste reduction and circular economy initiatives.

Promoting transparency and global competitiveness

The IECQ Carbon Footprint of Product verification is aligned with ISO 14067 and ensures that product carbon claims are accurate, verifiable and globally recognized. As an IECQ-accredited body, we are proud to have supported these pioneering companies on their carbon accountability journey.

Verification provides more than a compliance check, it empowers manufacturers to:

  • Strengthen ESG reporting with third-party assurance
  • Benchmark product emissions and track reductions
  • Improve supply chain transparency and decision-making
  • Differentiate through credible sustainability claims
  • Meet global customer expectations and regulatory requirements

A benchmark for the Asia-Pacific region

Stephen Pao, Director of Business Assurance, SGS in Taiwan, said: “ASUS, Acer and Fwusow Industry each hold significant influence in their respective fields of technology, information and food. Their early adoption of IECQ CFP verification showcases the practical steps industry leaders can take to accelerate low-carbon transformation.”

Steve Allan, Business Manager at IECQ, added: “The proactive sustainability efforts of Taiwanese companies are truly commendable. The successful verification of these three companies sets a benchmark for circular economy and carbon management practices across the Asia-Pacific region.”

Looking ahead

We continue to work with organizations across sectors to help them measure, manage and reduce their carbon impacts. Through trusted third-party verification, we enable clients to build transparency, meet international standards and strengthen ESG performance.
