SLCP (Social and Labor Convergence Project) provides an effective Converged Assessment Framework that aims to avoid repetition and reduce the number of social labor audits and to improve working conditions in global apparel and footwear factories, by replacing the current proprietary assessment tools.
The Higg Index- a suite of self-assessment tools designed to measure the sustainability impacts of apparel and footwear products, which is developed by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) and is working to reduce the environmental and social impacts of apparel and footwear products around the world.
SGS is going to hold a seminar on SLCP CAF 1.4 and Higg Index FEM in Shenzhen in May, explaining the processes, systems and contents of SLCP in details, with role-playing games related to SLCP processes and a live demonstration of the IT system platform and the data collection tool. We will have a deep dive into key points of Higg Index V3 as well as the framework of each section and scoring weight about Higg Index FEM 3.0. Practice sharing will be also merged into the presentation of checkpoints in all 7 sections.
